Movie Review: Mr. Popper's Penguins

Heartwarming, Funny, Jim Carrey.
I first heard of Mr. Popper's Penguins about six years ago, when I was looking through our local library for a chapter book to read to the kids each night before bed.

I simply loved this book!

Then, a movie was made of it starring Jim Carrey.

What a funny, cute and very well done, movie.

Can't say enough good things about this movie, and although the movie isn't an exact script of the book, it's still a winner for these reasons:

It's a current story line involving divorce
A lesson was learned by dad
We acquired some education on penguins
And it was funny!!

Truly adorable and entertaining.

  1. I’ve always been a fan of fun kid-oriented movies about divorce and I agree that this one did a good job with the subject. I also like how it educated about penguins in a fun way. I had no idea it was a book, so I’ll definitely have to check that out. What was really convenient for us was the fact that we could watch this movie on I was happy when a Dish coworker suggested the service. We didn’t have to leave our house and the kids can watch it anywhere on the laptop
